Earn Money Making Jewelry At Home

Are you looking for a way to make money at home? If you have a flair for craft work, you could use your skills to earn money making jewelry at home.

First of all, let me make it clear that I am not suggesting you should look for a job assembling jewelry at home. If you see a job advertisement for homeworkers to assemble jewelry (or any other craft item), treat it with the utmost caution. These home craft assembly job opportunities all too often turn out to be scams. You are more likely to lose money than to make it if you apply for a craft assembly home job.

The way to earn money making jewelry at home is to make your own pieces from scratch and to sell them yourself. Starting your own home based jewelry making business can be much easier than you might imagine.

To be able to produce jewelry that will be readily salable you need three main assets.

1. An eye for fashion
2. Some design skills
3. A knowledge of jewelry making techniques

1. An interest in fashion is useful if you want to make jewelry that will sell quickly and in fair quantities. You can, of course, make beautiful artistic jewelry without any reference to fashion. This however, would mean you would have a harder job to find customers. You would be operating in a smaller niche market. It will be easier to sell jewelry that is in tune with the latest fashion designs.

2. Some skill in the area of design is useful. If you have the knack for making craft items, you probably have a natural feel for design. The ability to design your own jewelry means you can add your own twist to current fashionable designs. You will be able to produce unique pieces that follow current trends but still stand out from the stuff to be found in every high street.

3. Jewelry making techniques are something you can learn quite easily. You don't need to have an art college education. When I was admiring some pretty beads in a local market, I discovered that the people who were selling the beads and other jewelry making findings were more than happy to teach me how to make things. I gained an enjoyable new hobby and they gained a new customer. If you don't have anyone to help you get started, don't worry: the techniques you will need to use are quite simple and can easily be picked up from a book (there are several excellent illustrated jewelry making books available from Amazon).

Jewelry making is a great choice for a home based business. It is clean quiet work and does not require much space to operate. You don't need large items of machinery; all you need are a few small hand tools. The raw materials and finished items won't take up much room. Jewelry is in demand all year round. Last, but by no means least, in common with the best work at home business opportunities, a home jewelry making business can be started on a shoestring budget.

Maybe you have never before thought of starting your own business from home, but if you can make simple pieces of jewelry, you will have no shortage of customers.

As our economy continues to decline and rising unemployment rates continue to increase many Americans have been scrambling for alternatives to making some extra cash , but you are not alone! Many opportunists are well aware of your need and are quite willing to help you part with your hard earned money by offering over blown income claims.

You can protect your self by just doing a little research and using a little common sense.

Do you have a hobby? Most of us do! And if you are good at it, you can turn it into a money making opportunity! The Arts & Crafts industry contributes 10's of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy every year and this may be your opportunity to grab a piece of the pie.

Let's take Arts & Crafts as a fine example for making money! What I'm talking about is things you have made with your own hands using your imagination and skill.

When making money with Arts & Crafts you should consider a few things in your search such as what you are good at, what can you can do and what do you enjoy.

Everything sells and thousands of crafters and artist make a nice living doing what they enjoy. Artist and crafters all over the world sell candles, rugs, figures, pottery, quilts, photos, bird houses, soap and the list goes on and on.

So what can you make? I believe in doing what I say! So let me share with you a little story of how I make money with crafts. Now keep in mind I am in no way an artist or even a crafter!

I just know how to be creative and one day when I was at the Dollar store (You know everything for $1.00) I was looking at some little cowboy figures riding a horse about 8 inches tall. I talked to the lady at the counter and asked how many she had, she said she had 100 of them and after a little negotiation I got them for $0.72 cents each.

Now comes the creative stuff, on my way home I stopped off at a local saw mill and purchased some cedar log scraps and took them home. With a little sawing, sanding and some varnish I made 100 little wooden bases for my cowboys. After drying I epoxied my cowboys on their bases and hand signed each one with my name and date.

I had 8 sets of 12 different little cowboys along with a few duplicates and the following weekend I went to the flea market and set up shop. I sold my cowboys for $12.95 each and sold out that weekend.

I had about 20 Hours into this project, spent $72.00 on my cowboys, $18.00 on wood scrap, $15.00 in material and $35.00 for my space rent. My net profit for this project was $1,155.

I hope this gets your creative juices flowing on what you can do with Arts & Crafts.

You will find many of sources to sell your Arts & Crafts such as:

1. Online with Craigslist for free.

2. At flea markets.

3. Craft fairs.

To your success, Ozark Mike

There are two way to have more money: make more or spend less. Running a successful craft business implies not only making money but also controlling costs wherever you can. Here are some tips to help you save money:

- Buy your supplies in bulk. Wholesale prices for supplies are mostly 25% less than retail prices. You will be in a better bargaining position and get better discount. If you can hook-up with fellow craft and buy together, your purchasing power goes up and you may be eligible for even more discount.

- Use online services where you can. Many companies give you discount if use online account, rather than going to store. For example, FedEx gives 10% discount of you use an online account to create shipping label, instead of writing them out. Buying online also saves on gas and environment. Amazon often gives 10%+ discount on books plus free shipping if you order for more than $25.

- Bundle you phone, internet, and TV. Cable and phone companies offer better rates if you buy all three services from a single company. They will give you a fixed low price for a year. After the year is up, call them up. In almost all cases, they will renew the price for one more year.

- Buy unlimited use cell phones. If you travel a lot to craft shows or fairs, get a cell phone with unlimited or plenty of minutes. It is expensive to go over the amount of minutes you have contracted. Hotel phones are expensive. Avoid using it. Use your cell phone instead.

- Get a cash-back credit card for your craft business. Many credit cards offer 2-5% cash back on all purchases and balance transfers. You can either plowback this extra cash into your business or reward yourself. Choice is yours.

- Use a hybrid or a fuel efficient car if you go to a lot of craft shows or are on the road a lot. Carpool with fellow crafters who are going to the same craft shows as you are. You will not only save money but also get company for the ride.

- Ask your family members to help in small chores. This will help you get more done without any additional costs. If you spouse is good with number, let them help with record-keeping and/or managing inventory

- Open the business bank at the local credit union or a small bank. You will be able to get free checking and often free overdraft protection. Make sure that the bank is FDIC insured.

- Learn to shop around, especially for high-ticket items. Whether you are looking for tickets, hotels, supplies, etc. do not be sacred to shop around. Research prices online before you decide what to buy and where.

- Subscribe to trade and craft magazines that you are unable to get at the library. It is more expensive to buy one issue at a time from the newsstand. These magazines often have 5-15% off coupons for craft supplies. Use these coupons to get the discount on your supplies.

Remember small steps can save a lot of money and add quickly to your bottom line.

You don't have to quilt to start a quilting business. There are plenty of ideas to find your niche in the world of quilting businesses.

Making and selling quilting kits is one niche market. Beginner quilters would purchase quilting kits. They are your target market. As you plan your quilting kits, keep in mind some of the obstacles a beginning quilter would face and strive to overcome them.

For instance, a beginning quilter might be daunted by all the patterns out there from which to choose. If a beginner selects a difficult pattern, chances are that the project will never be finished and the beginner might never try quilting again! To avoid that, select simple quilt patterns for your quilting kits.

Another obstacle beginning quilters face is fabric selection. Your quilting kit will have the fabric pieces with it, taking the guess work out of color coordinating and fabric selection.

Go ahead and cut the pattern pieces for your quilting kits, too. Beginners will especially love this! You could offer intermediate level quilters with another option. For the slightly more advanced quilter, you could print (or trace) the patterns onto fabric and allow the quilter to cut them out. Take into consideration how much time this might take, however.

Don't forget to include threads and even a needle for hand stitching!

There are many different levels at which you could offer quilting kits. You could make kits for quilt block pillows, wall hangings, lap quilts or full size quilts. You could also compile kits for quilted toys and dolls.

Another niche market for quilting kits could revolve around holiday themes. Offer kits that will make ornaments and other decorations.

How will you sell your quilting kits? Many have dreams of mass market production, but you can sell your quilting kits without a contract from a large chain store! Consider selling the kits from your own website or Internet store. You could even sell them from an online auction site/store.

Small, classified line ads are an inexpensive way to advertise if you choose to advertise in craft magazines. Don't overlook all the free publications in your particular area, either. A lot of newspapers or local tabloid sized magazines offer free classifieds.

Writing an effective classified line ad is not hard. Keep the information short and sweet, and don't forget to include your contact information. A good classified ad might read: "Quilting kits. Perfect for beginners! See designs online at www.mywebsitename.com."

You will also need to consider how to package your kits. The first way that comes to mind (and probably the easiest) is to include the fabric pieces, threads, needle and good instructions in a resealable plastic bag. The idea is to keep the kit simple for your buyer but to make money for your business. So, the less paper you include for directions, the more profitable your kit. But, make sure you include all necessary directions!

For instance, your detailed directions could fit on one side of paper or card stock. On the other side, take a photo of a completed quilt block from your kit. Make sure to include your business name and contact information on that side as well.

Home computers and inexpensive color laser printers make professional printing very affordable. Consider investing in a laser printer if you will be printing your own directions. Copy printed by inkjet method smears and runs if it gets wet.

When you assemble your kit, make sure the sheet or cardstock is inserted in the bag so that the photo of the completed quilt or block faces outside. This gives your customer a chance to see what they are purchasing and an example of how it should look upon completion.

I'm reasonably certain that you already have favourite stores offline and online for your beads and jewelry supplies. But, are you desiring to grasp where you can simply find the best costs for them?

you will find them in varied supply stores in wholesale and you'll have an array of things you are looking for, they made it available on the net. EBay is one of the finest places to discover a way to source the best wholesale jewelry. Not only are there masses of wholesalers to find your supplies, but there are ready to use jewelry items that you may buy and resell at a profit.

However if your quite experimental in the things that you are doing, you have a tendency to find something more than the common. It's a wide accepted idea that what the stores are always in focus are those that is 'hot' in the market. Their primary goal is to earn money out of it. This essentially means that it is possible for you to have a difficult heavy time attempting to find something that is unusual for your experimentation, because those stores offer 2 of those things.

So where you will find the stuffs you're looking to? Attempt to visit auction sites, eBay as an example ; this is the most significant bead store that offers the widest variety of beads and other materials you can make a selection from. And, you could be updated if other artist is dumping any of their inventory.

eBay always offers tons of jewelry making supplies, from home made glass beads to other materials that you'll need during beading, and this is often comical to use since you are competing to bid against others to win the product you want to buy.

although eBay is a great resource to find all your jewelry supplies it's vital to take some time and not get wrapped up in the emotion of online auctions, though you'll find some superb bargains from beads to hang tags for your jewelry, there are some extremely expensive items that you may likely find cheaper at your local provider. One of the major things to keep an eye open for is the posting and packaging costs. Although the item you are purchasing is inexpensive, once the posting and packaging has been added it often works out dearer. Depending on how much more, often it's still inexpensive to buy the supplies as it save you a lot of time having to drive around sourcing what you need when you might be working and making your jewelry.

possibilities are that whatever you are looking for, be it straightforward clasps to complicated polymer clay jewelry supplies you can be ready to find it cheaper on eBay if you take your time and ensure that it's a deal. This is easier with experience, so if you're new being a little bit more leary will pay in the longer term.

Americans are cutting back on expenses as never before in recent years. Personal and family budgets often cut spending first on gifts and costume jewelry purchases. Handmade sterling silver earrings may fill the need for costume jewelry or for inexpensive gifts.

A new jewelry maker can create handmade sterling silver earrings for less than the cost of a fast-casual lunch or dinner out. One does not need complicated tools and an endless supply of components to make elegant, attractive earrings.

This article presents only sterling silver earwires, posts and components for two reasons:

Sterling Silver is hypoallergenic for most people Sterling Silver, a precious metal, costs much less than white gold or platinum

What are Jewelry Findings

In jewelry terms, "jewelry findings", or just "findings", are jewelry components less than a finished piece.

Common Earring Findings

One type of earring finding is an earwire (also known as a "french wire" or a "hook"). An "earring post" has a "post" ("stick") that fits through the piercing, with an "ear back" (also known as a "ear nuts", "butterfly clutches" or "stoppers") that fits over the stick behind the ear. A full ball, half ball, shield, or other design will be soldered onto the front of the post.

Sterling Silver Earrings: No Tools Required

The first simple earring design needs no tools to assemble -- hands are good enough. Good sterling silver shield post earring findings show a thin, rounded profile in the vertical. a "U"-shaped hook soldered to the bottom edge of these findings is open to the back. One only needs to hang a Sterling/Cubic Zirconia Bezel-set drop with a soldered ring at the top from the "U"-shaped hook, then pinch the top of the hook closed with the fingers.

With representative prices of $2.35 per pair for Sterling Silver Shield Post earring findings and $6.97 or less for a pair of bezel-set Sterling/Colorless Cubic Zirconia drops, one may make a pair of earrings with the fire and sparkle of simulated diamond for less than $10 (not including shipping or sales tax), with no tools. For those who prefer earrings entirely of sterling silver, replace the Sterling/Cubic Zirconia drop with a pair of sterling teardrops with soldered top loops for $2.65 per pair. You can keep your cost of a pair of sterling silver earring less than $8.

Tools Recommended for Simple Earrings

Flat nose pliers or chain nose pliers are the tools recommended for most earring styles considered in this article. These pliers, when used in jewelry making, will be smooth on the inside, to minimize the marks added to jewelry; normal pliers usually have serrated jaws to "bite" into metal.

Sterling Silver Earrings: One Tool Required

Many earring posts and earwires have open rings soldered to the bottom of the earring findings. These open rings need to be gently opened to the side to hang a drop or dangle. It MAY be possible to do that with your hands, but we recommend one pair of either flat nose pliers or chain nose pliers because they will offer you better control than using only your hands.

To use either earring posts or earring findings, one must GENTLY move part of the open ring soldered to the bottom of the finding to the side. Then, it is possible to hang a drop or a wire-wrapped dangle onto the open ring. Once again, use the pliers to GENTLY move the open piece of the ring back into place -- to close the gap of the open ring.

With a representative price of $0.66 for a pair of short Sterling Silver French earwires and a pair of 4mm Sterling/Cubic Zirconia bezel-set drops, you can make a pair of earrings for under $5 (before shipping or sales tax).

Inexpensive Earrings for Formal Affairs

For formal affairs, such as weddings or holiday parties, a pair of 6mm Princess Cut Sterling/Clear Cubic Zirconia posts with 6mm Sterling/Clear Bezel Set Cubic Zirconia drops are stunning earrings that can be made for under $16; one set of pliers is recommended to assemble these as discussed above.

Earrings with Wire Wraps

Dangles made with wire wraps require some instruction and practice for good-looking results, but they increase the number of possible earring designs one may choose to make. Wire wrapping will usually take three tools: flush cutters, chain nose pliers and round nose pliers.

Wire wrapped dangles may incorporate a greater variety of beads, charms and findings.

Conclusion

Families feeling a "budget crunch" can still indulge in sterling silver costume jewelry for personal wear or for gift giving, offering pleasing handcrafted gifts to loved ones and wearing attractive earrings, too.

Paul Brandon knows earring findings and writes for OhioBeads.com, which sells bulk jewelry chains and jewelry making findings to the U.S. market.

There are lots of reasons to write a craft book. For some, it's fulfilling a long held dream simply to write a book. For others it's a desire to share what they've learned and help newcomers to the craft.

Others have a more commercial approach. They're craftspeople but they're also business people and they realise the potential income writing a craft book can bring. What's more, once you've established that income it will keep on coming for years and years, with remarkably little work required from you to maintain it.

In the traditional book trade, it's called royalty income. In the more modern online craft book publishing world it's usually called residual income.

And very nice it is too!

In case your new to the concept, basically you put the effort into writing and publishing a craft book and getting it ready for sale, then the system is more or less automated. You don't get huge bundles of cash coming in but you get a percentage of each sale. Every time your craft book is sold, you get a residual income.

In traditional craft book publishing this would be in the region of ten to fifteen percent of the cover price. If you write a craft book today and publish it using digital delivery you might expect to get as much as ninety percent of the cover price!

You shouldn't let the concept of digital delivery put you off either. It's new terminology perhaps but it's neither complicated nor difficult to do. Several companies exist who'll do the lion's share of the work for less than 5% commission. What's more, there are no up-front fees, you only pay them when your craft book sells!

Suddenly, in a relatively short space of time the idea of writing a craft book isn't just a pipe dream but a practical, achievable reality for craftspeople everywhere.

Once set up, that initial energy and effort you put into writing a craft book is rewarded again and again. Every copy that sells puts money in your bank. This week, next week, next month, next year!

And what do you need to do to maintain it? You'll probably have to answer a few emails, a few questions from potential customers. A couple of hours a week maybe.

There has never been a better time for you to write a craft book. There has never been a better time to profit from it. There are also other indirect ways that writing a craft book can benefit you.

Opening an online store for your crafts business, can be a great way to deal with the crafts you have left over after a craft show.

If you are part of the craft show circuit, then you have probably noticed, that certain crafts seem to sell better in certain areas, and there is just no rhyme or reason to this. You think you have made the perfect crafts for this season, and you almost sell them all out at one craft show, and yet are stuck with them at another.

It can be hard to figure out just what to make and what will sell, and what to do with the crafts you have left over after the craft shows.

Instead of banishing them to the basement in bins, or pawning them off on your family and friends as gifts... why not try and get your money out of them?.. Go the next step, and put your craft business online.

A craft that may not have sold well locally, might be just what a customer in Europe thinks is the cats meow!. Your online store will compliment your craft shows, and make sure you make money from all of your products. You can also set up a newsletter with your online store, and have customers sign up for it. You can let them know when your next craft show will be, and offer specials.. The ideas are endless... and will ultimately make you money.

Why banish your hard work to the basement or garage... it just takes a little organization, and a few nice pictures and before you know it, you are advertising to the world.

Put your website on your business card, so that your customers at craft shows, can see what else you have made. It is almost like a "art gallery" online. Online stores are easy to open and get started, you are given steps and templates to use, you do not need to be a computer genius..

Think about it... this could be a second wind for your products, and will get you known world wide.
open an online store for all of your crafts

open an online store and sell your crafts 24 hours a day you could be selling your crafts while you are sleeping!.. article and website by Diane Palmer who has been in the crafts business for over 15 years.

Are you a hobbyist quilter or a part-time quilter looking to make money from your quilting passion? Are you having a difficult time selling your work? If the answer is yes, then check this out.

Study the market before you begin

If you are serious about turning your quilts into money, it's very important that you research the market before you begin trying to sell. Studying the market helps you find what types of quilts are currently in high demand in your area. Once you know this, you may think about making those quilts which are in high demand in your area. This makes it easy to sell your quilts while getting a good enough price for your quilts.

Those who take quilting only as their hobby don't need to spend much time researching the market as the results from the research might end up in a conclusion that the demand for their favorite type of quilts is very low. If your choices are flexible or if you are ready to produce any quilt that the customers might want then there shouldn't be any problems for you to generate a good amount of money from your hobby.

Setting the price for quilts

Determining a price for a quilt consists of a few steps, the first one being market research which you should have already done prior to sewing quilts.

Keeping track of the time spent

The second step in pricing should be performed during the creation of the quilt, which is "keeping track of your time". You should write down or keep a record of the time spent on the quilt; this includes the total time you spent on the quilt (from choosing a design to finishing the quilt).

First, find out the total time you spent on different steps in quilting (preparing the paper pattern, piecing, basting, quilting, binding, putting your studio back in order after the quilt is completed etc.), then estimate the total time it takes on all these steps and divide it by the size (in sq.ft) of your quilt. Now you have calculated the time it takes to produce one square foot of a quilt in that particular style.

Determine how much your time is worth to you

The next step in pricing is finding out the price of your time, or deciding how much the time you sped on making a quilt is worth.

If you are a beginner or if you are doing an unskilled job then the minimum wage can be between $6.00 and $7.00 per hour. If you are a seasoned quilter or doing difficult tasks, your time is worth more than that. Something on the range of $10-$15 per hour should be reasonable rate in this scenario. Nevertheless, it's up to you to decide how much your time is worth. The market research you should have done can help you in making a decision about that. You may also contact other quilters in your area and talk with them about this and reach a conclusion.

Quilt appraisal

An appraisal is a formally written document about the price and other attributes of a quilt. Things which should be included in a quilt appraisal are, a description of the quilt, a defined price, system used in determining the price, the reason for the appraisal (sale or resale, insurance purposes, IRS requirements, equitable division of property etc.) and the signature of the appraiser.

Selling quilts

After your quilt is done, you would likely want to sell or market it so that you can generate money for the time and effort you had put in crafting your quilt. Small scale quilters, new quilters, part-time quilters, or someone doing quilting as a hobby usually find that the promotion of their quilts is tougher than the stitching part. So let's list a few quilt promotion methods which will be very helpful for the above mentioned group.

Quilting brokers and shops

It's difficult for amateur quilters and part-timers to open their on quilt shops and sell their pieces there. For these types of quilters it will be useful to look for other ways of promoting their work. There are quilt brokers and handicraft shops who would be glad to sell your pieces upon paying a cut. It should be easy for you to find such brokers and stores in your area and offer your products through them. Once your quilts become popular and when the demand for your quilts increases you might want to step up to larger scale or full time quilt work and think about directly marketing your products to customers.

Selling your pieces at online auction sites

Another option available for amateur or part-time quilters is to display their work on online auction sites. There are many of them available on the internet. Online auctions make it possible for a quilter to find a way to sell the quilts at maximum price. Some of these websites even give you options to sell your quilts at a fixed price instead of listing them for auctions. It's up to you to figure out whether you want consumers to bid for you quilt or just buy it at a price you fixed.

Some websites might even allows you to specify a "Minimum Bid" so that you can prevent your work from being purchased at a lower price than you see fit. This is a really efficient way for part-time or hobby quilters to sell their work.

Other quilting related income avenues

There are many other ways to generate cash from quilting related things. Next you'll find two of such ways which require a certain amount of expertise.

Teaching quilt lessons

If you are an expert in quilting and have very little time (just a couple of hours a day or less) to spend on quilting, you might wish to choose this option. You could find some schools offering quilting lessons and contact them offering to teach a quilting class for beginner quilters. If you have a unique quilting technique about which you can give classes, it would be easier for you to get a contract as a quilting instructor. Another option is to offer quilting lessons at your own place. You might use your spare time like this and you should be able to earn good enough money from this.

Designing brand new quilt patterns

If you are good at making new and unique quilt patters, you can easily make lots of money selling them to other quilters as demand for fresh patterns will always be high. For marketing quilt patterns you design, you could use the same methods described above for marketing quilts.

Like in any business, if you use your time and resources in the most effective manner it's not hard to make a good quilting career or generate good income from quilting.

I have been involved with crafts shows for a long time, and have been on both sides of the table... as a vendor and as a customer.. Here is a list of the top ten "money losing" tricks.:

1) Lay out your crafts on a table without any thought of display, look grumpy, set up your chair behind the table and read a book. Better yet, don't even pay attention to your potential customers.

2) Eat a large onion laden cheese burger, that is bigger than you mouth, have it loaded with ketchup and mustard, and let everyone know you are eating it!, then try and explain your crafts while people are backing away from you! (why do they always sell cheese burgers at craft shows???)

3) Dress like you just rolled out of a barn, look crusty, and act as if you would rather be somewhere else... anywhere else. Total lack of interest always attracts customers...NOT!

4) Take absolutely no interest in setup... Take your table and jam it right up to the aisle as close as you can, and then lay all your crafts out in a single file. or better yet, pile them in a pile.. or in bins... ignoring all that free space behind you where you could have spent the money on shelves and displayed your products nicely.

5) Do not smile, at all, look totally peeved that you were dragged out of bed for this weekend, and you and your crafts look like it. Show a total lack of interest when a potential customers stops to look or asks a question, better yet, wander off and chit chat with other vendors.

6) Make sure your crafts are put together literally the night before, and are about to fall apart, and then stick a high price tag on them. After all no one will notice right?

7) Thinking this craft business is a great money maker, and pricing your crafts as if people should bless you for making them.. and then look totally crusty by the end of the day when people are not buying.

Make sure and have NO small change, or bags, that way you won't have to get up and complete the sale.

9) Make crafts that you do not like making, or don't know how to make properly, do not explain them to anyone. Show no passion in your work or display, let everyone know, you are there for the money only.

10) Explain to people that you are on the verge of welfare, and need this money, and produce stick it notes for your business cards..

Don't laugh... everyone of these things has happened at shows I have visited or shows that I have been in. I was actually set up beside someone who told me she hates crafts, but figured it was easy money... guess what?.. Her sales were non-existent.

Smile, show some passion in your work.. be confident in your work, and the best way to do that is to create a craft you are passionate about. Something you would make, even if you were not selling it. Look proud to be there... after all you worked hard all year for this show!

Find out what your passion is, in the craft world, this makes all the difference, and it shows in your work.

Set up a pretend display at home, I know this sounds like a lot of work, but on setup day, there will be panic all around you, and if you pack your things away in some sort of system, you will then unpack them in a calm manner. You can even do a drawing of your setup that you did at home, and follow it. You will be distracted by other vendors, especially those wanderers who spent 5 minutes setting up...so its best if you are practiced.

Find something you like to do, and do it. There are many ebooks on line now, that you can buy today and be learning the craft tonight, these are written by passionate people. Give that a try or take a class... just find something you like and your craft shows will make you some money. try a new craft
