Halloween usually conjures up images of strange shapes, dark movie characters and popular animals. These days though, these common figures can be made in more ways than one and using an assortment of different materials. Here are the top eleven variations on the most popular Halloween arts and crafts for kids.

Bats

There's no need for you to buy plastic bats for Halloween since you can make your own. You can easily cut patterns or two dimensional bats from construction paper or cartolina. Bat Halloween arts and crafts for kids can also be creatively made out of egg cup cartons to hang or out of clothes pins to clip on curtains.

Pumpkins

These days, you don't have to worry about messy pumpkin carvings anymore. You can easily have pumpkin paper lanterns as Halloween arts and crafts for kids projects. If you don't like lanterns, you can still make pumpkins out of paper plates, milk containers and construction paper. One other great alternative would be pumpkin baskets made of paper mache.

Witches

Witch Halloween arts and crafts for kids can be made out of paper plates and cardboard. As an alternative, you can create a witch doctor look instead of a western witch by incorporating beaded necklaces and homemade stuffed voodoo dolls.

Spiders

One favorite Halloween arts and crafts for kids is the spider. Spiders can be as simple as construction paper or egg cup carton hangers. They can also be made of pom poms or colored cotton balls.

Vampires

Vampire masks with fangs can be easily made with paper plates. More imposing ornamental life size vampires however can be made out of coat hangers and black garbage bags.

UFO

Aliens and UFOs are not common Halloween figures but stories of alien kidnappings and abduction makes great Halloween tales. Make UFOs out of paper plates that you can hang from the ceiling. You might also want to complement the ships with cookies shaped like stereotypical aliens instead of ginger bread men.

Worms in Cans

Worms in cans can be made of brown crepe paper. They can seem yuckier to the touch though if you use gummy candies and cooked spaghetti.

Ghosts

Ghosts can also come in variations. You can make ghost Halloween arts and crafts for kids made of socks, packing foam, old cloths, crepe paper, helium filled balloons, white painted jars, tissue and clay.

Mummy

Use tissue paper or gauze and wrap it around a jar for a mummified figure. Cut out some eyes from construction paper and stick them on the jars before you put on the tissue so you can have the eyes slightly covered and just peeking.

Cats

What's Halloween without black cats? Use paper plates to create cat masks or some cotton and crepe paper to create billowing streamers.

Skeletons

White or luminous paint on a black figure would be perfect for the usual skeleton man. You can however create a good looking skeleton with different kinds of pasta.

You'd be amazed to discover that your kitchen holds boundless possibilities for making homemade Halloween crafts. Cook up some very unique homemade Halloween crafts projects using simple kitchen materials. Learn how to make different varieties of Jack-O-Lanterns, witch kitchen jars, and Halloween treats.

Not Just Another Jack-O-Lantern

People display the same old boring Jack-O-Lanterns year after year. Wouldn't it be nice to create something different from the rest? But first, learn how to make the basic Jack-O-Lantern.

First, draw a circular outline around the stem of your pumpkin. Carve out the outline at an angle you have a cone shape under the lid. Twist the lid off the pumpkin. Remove pulp with a knife and scrape insides with a spoon.

Draw your favorite Jack-O-Lantern face or pattern on the pumpkin and cut through the outline. Place a tea candle or flashlight inside.

Knowing the basics of making a traditional Jack-O-Lantern will help you move on to using different vegetables and fruits as homemade Halloween crafts materials. You can use green peppers for goblins, mandarins for mini Jack-O-Lanterns, red peppers for lil' devils, and melons for pale ghosts.

Witch Kitchen Jars

If you want to add an interesting flavor to your Halloween kitchen with homemade Halloween crafts, the best project would be witch kitchen jars. Your homemade Halloween crafts materials for this project could be endless.

The first step to do is to simply paint the lids with spray paint so the old labels will be covered. Popular colors are black, red, silver and green.

Next, fill the jars with virtually anything in it, such as mushrooms, rice, dried fruits, vegetable roots, and spices. Fill with water.

Once you've thought of a name like "Brain Stew" or "Goblin's Eyeballs", play around with your Word Processor's font styles and print your label out on paper.

To make the labels of your witch kitchen jars look aged and old, you can brew tea bags in just-boiled water, remove, and let the tea cool. Pour tea into a spray bottle and spray on your label. Let your label dry on wax paper. Once dry, stick the label on your jar using glue. Brush on varnish if desired. Finish off by tying old-fashioned twine around the neck of the jar.

Halloween Treats

After you've made some homemade Halloween crafts, it's time to cook up real edible Halloween treats! This homemade Halloween crafts project is especially fun to make for kids. All you need are spoons, candy melt and a few other materials for decoration.

Melt according to its instructions. Then dip each spoon into your candy melt, scoop out and lay the melt on parchment paper until it is cool enough to remove. Cover candy with clear cellophane and secure with a ribbon or string.

Cut out an egg carton and paint them on to create fun hats for your candies. Attach yarn to the hats for "hair" and draw on eyes and mouth on the candy plastic with markers. Use green candy melt for witches, white for ghosts, and orange for Jack-O-Lanterns.

Now that you have these few tricks up your sleeves for your homemade Halloween project, think of other things you can find in your kitchen to create something spooky and entertaining!

Are you running out of ideas for homemade Halloween crafts for this year? Know out how you can add a different twist to your old homemade Halloween projects!

You need not look farther than your own house and backyard to make easy Halloween crafts for kids' wonderful costumes. In fact, there are many things you can find in your closet. Nature can also offer you loads of Halloween materials.

For super easy Halloween crafts for kids costumes, search your closet for old, new, frequently used, and discarded outfits and accessories. You'll be surprised what you can create with these. Start off by thinking of basic themes such as caped characters, princesses, and other characters from cartoons/fairytales. Here are some costume ideas:

Blood-Red Riding Hood

For a no-sew bloody Red Riding Hood Halloween costume, you can use your red hooded sweaters. Attach any red cloth or fabric (this could be from a pillowcase, old bed sheet, towel, or table cloth) to the backside of the sweatshirt with safety pins. Wear a skirt to complete the Little Red Riding Hood look. If you're going to wear a red-colored skirt, the better!

Bandages and fake blood will complete your Bloody Red Riding Hood look. Making fake blood is an easy Halloween crafts for kids: just mix cornstarch, corn syrup, and red food coloring. For your "scratches", use a red pen or marker. You can now be a Bloody Red Riding Hood who seemed to have barely escaped the Big Bad Wolf!

Batman

Kids will find this Halloween crafts for kids easy and exciting! In making the mask, simply measure the distance between your eyes and apply it on the surface of a paper plate, where you will punch two holes for vision. After punching the two holes, draw out a bat outline and cut out this outline. You can find free bat templates over the Internet and print them out. Next, paint the whole mask black with fast-drying poster paint. You can also purchase a pack of black paper plates if you can find one. Then, punch holes in the sides so you can attach garters, which will secure the mask over your face.

To complete the Batman look, don on a black or gray sweatshirt and black sweatpants or tights. Attach a black fabric to the back of the sweatshirt with safety pins.

Sleepwalker

A sleepwalker costume is another easy Halloween crafts for kids. All you need are your PJ's, a set of curlers, and a teddy bear (or voodoo doll to scare off guests).

Nature Princess

A nature princess costume is an easy Halloween crafts for kids. For this costume, you will need a nightgown, some flowers, dried leaves and some twigs. Tie the flowers together, suspend upside down, and let them dry under the sun. Make a wreath for your crown out of the twigs and dried leaves by using strong glue and your glue gun. Add the dried flowers and eggshells for more interest. You can also purchase a rubber snake to wear around your neck.

Now you realize that in finding easy Halloween crafts for kids, you need not look farther than your old closet and your very own backyard. You can think of hundreds of other themes around materials you already have in your home.

Where do busy moms search for easy Halloween arts and crafts and Halloween crafts for kids? Find out how now!

Halloween is a fun time for everyone to play dress-up. Some costume projects may be difficult, but a lot are actually easy Halloween crafts for kids. Kids can make their own no-sew, homemade costumes and accessories. This article will show you a few ideas on making simple Halloween costumes and accessories.

A Milk Carton Cow Costume

A milk carton that resembles a cow at the same time would be a really cute no-sew costume to make! Young kids will especially love making this costume themselves. Simply cut out the flaps and a hole on two sides of a carton box for the arms to go through. Have your kid paint the box with a white base and black spots using non-toxic poster paint.

Accessories for this Halloween crafts for kids costume is a tail made of paper and yarn which you can attach to the lower part of the box. Simply cut out paper ears and horns and glue to a headband, which your kid can wear to complete the whole look.

Closet Costume

Costumes as Halloween crafts for kids does not always involve creating your own costumes. If kids will rummage through their old clothes, they will find items which they can assemble together creatively for their Halloween costumes. For example, they can use a red hooded sweatshirt for a Little Red Riding Hood costume; their PJ's for a Sleepwalker costume, and a black sweatshirt and pants for a Ninja Costume. Just add accessories like a basket, a teddy bear, or a mask made out of a plain T-shirt.

The Halloween Hats

There are easy Halloween crafts for kids that can show you how to make Halloween hats. For a witch's hat, draw out a semi-circle at the edge of a piece of black paper using a circular template. Cut out the drawing, fold the piece into a cone, and fasten with staples/glue. Cut out a circle (larger in diameter than the cone's bottom) from the same black paper and then glue or tape the cone on its center. This is your witch's hat. To make a sorcerer's hat, simply use the cone and paste cutout paper stars on it. You can also use glue and glitter to create the stars.

Making Halloween Wands

A witch is not a witch, nor a fairy a fairy, and sorcerer a sorcerer if they are without a wand. For this easy Halloween crafts for kids project, use a paintbrush instead of a pencil or straight tube for the wand stick. A paintbrush usually has a more elegant shape.

To make a Halloween crafts for kids' wand, spray-paint the whole paintbrush and let it sit to dry. Next, draw and cut out two identical paper starts. At the brush-end of the paintbrush, stick the two stars back-to-back, with the brush in between. Use other shapes for a witch's wand such as a half-moon. For a sorcerer's wand, place glue on the brush to harden it. Wind yarn or twine around the paintbrush for a Harry Potter-like wand. Spray-paint the whole paintbrush with gold or brown for that realistic effect.

To make any costume realistic and interesting-looking, always remember to add its matching accessories. Both are simple to make with easy Halloween crafts for kids.

You can make easy Halloween costumes and Halloween crafts for kids. The key is looking for the right steps.

In fact it is the best gift you can give to your child. Yet, it is easy to spend time with the grown up kids. We often keep wandering as to what activities do we do with them.

Surprisingly, we often underestimate our toddler's abilities. Teach your toddlers some fun craft activities and help them carry on the same. You can look for many free and easy Halloween crafts that your little one would love to work on with you. Here are some interesting ideas to try out.

1. Bat with hand prints.

For this you primarily need some paper plates & washable black paint meant especially for craft purposes. Pour some black paint in the paper plate. Tell your child to put his hand in the paint. Make sure that his hand is fully covered. Now add a sheet of paper, press the child’s hand on one side with splayed fingers. Now, turn the paper towards back. Dip your child's hand in the paint again and press his again hand on the paper following the heels of the imprint made before. Stick googly eyes to this bat or paint the eyes using white color. Make a hole at the top. Attach a string through this hole to hang the bat. Make many of these and hang all around the child's room.

2. Halloween Ornaments with Fun Foam

Fun foam is among the essential craft items especially among the kids. This Halloween collect some chunks of fun foam typically in the Halloween shades that are black, orange, green and white. Now, draw some ovals and circles on the fun foam. With safety scissors let your child brush his or her craft & cutting skills. Make them cut out these shapes out of the fun foam. Mean while, you go ahead cutting shapes from the remaining pieces of fun foam. You might opt to work on interesting patterns like witches, scary cats, bats, ghosts, and many more. These shapes can easily be found on the internet. Now stick on these varied shapes on the ovals & circles you ha cut earlier. Finally, punch a hole on the top. Put a string in this hole and hang your child's Halloween ornaments where ever you wish in the house!

While these are just a few ideas, free and easy toddler Halloween crafts are very commonly found on the internet. Now-a-days there are several web sites focusing on these crafts. These are easy and fun activities for kids of all ages. These fun projects are simple and memorable activities to carry on with your toddlers. Try these and gift your child moments for life!

Designing Halloween arts and crafts is a good way to get children interested in arts and crafts making and discover their creative talents in the process. One can come up with easy ideas for the decorations by searching on the internet and then explain the methods to the children so that they can be creative and have fun making these items themselves.

One of the easiest art and craft Halloween decorations is the creepy balloon ghost, which is very easy to make. All you need is white balloons and plastic grocery bags. The bags should be plain with no writing on them. Here is how to create a spooky ghost: Cut off the handles of the grocery bag. Leaving the bottom of the bag intact, with the help of scissors, cut the bag into dangling strips up to about an inch from the bottom seam. In the same manner cut up another grocery bag. Fill up the balloon with air and knot it up. Tape the seam of one bag to the front and the other to the back, leaving the knot on top. Paint a scary face of the ghost on the balloon and tie a string to the knot. Hang up these creepy balloons to trees in the yard. You may also put a few bells at the end of the strips, so that they make a sound with the movement of the wind. Enjoy the haunting chimes of the ghosts moving in your yard!

Kids can easily make a decorative garland with bats, ghosts or pumpkins. These garlands can be hung around the house or the classrooms. The materials required will be either construction paper or fun foam, depending on your choice. The colors could be orange for pumpkins, white for ghosts and black for bats. If foam is being used, patterns will be needed for all the three items. Take care to leave a tab of paper that can be folded over the string and secured with a tape. Cut out the shapes and paint the faces on them. You may need to make several of these craft items so that you can have a long garland. String up pumpkins on green string, bats on white string and ghosts on black string. If you have all three patterns, then you could use any color string that suits your fancy.

Helping kids with their Halloween crafts projects will make you very popular with them. There are varieties of craft items that can be made, be inventive and creative and let your imagination soar. There is no limit to what you can achieve in the world of art and craft.

The Internet is a source of a wide variety of information. One has just to give a phrase or word to the search engine and it will search for whatever is asked for. It is possible to get a good number of Halloween craft ideas for kids in the same manner. A number of websites provide free ideas for Halloween crafts for kids. A little research in that area will help you to get imaginative with craft ideas to be tried out along with your kids. However, a few easy crafts are described below to get you started right away.

The easiest Halloween craft a kid can make is a balloon ghost. All that is required is white plastic bags, balloons, strings and colored pens to draw the face. Take a balloon and fill it up with air. Place the balloon inside the plastic bag. Tie a string round the bottom of the bag to make a neck. Draw a funny or scary face on the bag. You can hang these scary ghosts on the trees in the yard by attaching a string from the top. Hang up several of these in the yard and watch the spooky atmosphere build up, as these ghosts float in the breeze!

Spooky bats can be hung outside on trees or in the house. You can involve your children in this activity. Take a clean cardboard egg carton or a Styrofoam one and cut out three cups, leaving them attached side by side. Cut out the front and back of the outer cups, these form the bat wings. Paint the carton black and stick on some beady eyes or draw the eyes with white paint. Make a hole on the top of the central eggcup and run a string through it. Knot up the end so that it does not slip out through the hole. Hang up several of these bats and watch them fly!

The best part about Halloween crafts is that you can get your children involved in the activity and encourage their creative talents. Children can also learn to create crafts from waste materials like egg cartons and grocery bags. Halloween decorations can be a good way to bond with family and friends. Websites on the internet give free access to a number of creative ideas that are simple enough for kids. Once you get some ideas, try them out with your kids and have fun creating new decorations. It can be a fun activity done together, enjoying each other's company and getting to know the creativity of your children, while experimenting with these decorations. Use these decorations around the house at Halloween and enjoy the festive spirit.

Halloween can be an extremely fun time to spend with your kids doing some child Halloween crafts together. Preparing Halloween costumes, accessories and makeup for your kids can be exciting. But because you are making these for your kids, safety should also be in mind to keep the Halloween season enjoyable and a memorable one.

Keep it mind, however, that child Halloween crafts must be safe and suitable for toddlers to 12-year-old kids. Use non-abrasive/harsh materials. Instead, make sure to use hypoallergenic makeup and glitter specifically made for a child's sensitive skin. Abrasive/harsh materials you should avoid include tin foils, hard plastic from cutout objects (otherwise, you should file the sharp edges), pointed accessories, and twigs with splinters.

Avoid using adult makeup as these are made of stronger makeup components that can easily irritate a child's skin. Practice safe child Halloween crafts preparations and make your own Halloween makeup at home. Homemade Halloween makeup often does not cause allergic reactions because it is just made of cornstarch, corn syrup, food coloring and water. However, you can always do a patch test first.

Consider always the safety of your child when buying materials for child Halloween crafts. When using glitter don't buy the regular ones used for paper. These can be abrasive to both the skin and eyes and therefore can cause inflammation and reddening. Go to a specialty or makeup store instead and look for products that state "body glitter" or "face glitter".

Be careful when choosing household materials for your child Halloween crafts session. For accessories use cardboard instead of tin foil or cutout hard plastic. If your child is going to run around with a tin foil or cutout plastic star on a wand, the pointy edges could accidentally end up in the eye. Use cardboard or Styrofoam instead. You can wrap these in silver kitchen foil or glitter for that brilliant sheen. You can also spray-paint them with silver, gold or other metallic colors.

There are a variety of child-safe costumes sold in specialty shops for use in child Halloween crafts. If you're going to make a costume together with your child, it might be a good idea to put away those needles and use no-sew costumes for your child Halloween crafts idea. If you're going to buy a costume, make sure it is easily detectable from afar (in case your child gets lost), flame-resistant, and can fit well on your child so he/she doesn't trip.

Your child can come dressed as The Sleepwalker, which only requires your child to wear PJ's and set of curlers; you can also think of any character with a cape, such as superman or batman, which only requires you to attach a cape and a mask. You can create masks simply with a paper plate and garters.

Making child Halloween crafts both fun and safe for your kids doesn't have to be a difficult task. First think of safe materials and work around those using your imagination to create distinctive Halloween themes and styles.

Brainstorming for preschool Halloween crafts ideas could be a bit tricky especially if you're planning it for kids who have short attention span. You have to make sure that the projects are fun and exciting for them. There are many ideas surrounding Halloween crafts for preschool projects though, and you can easily find them online. This article will show you basic projects for preschoolers and how to add some excitement to them.

When brainstorming for preschool Halloween craft ideas, consider the following:

- Safety - Always keep the kid's safety in mind. When planning for a preschool Halloween craft, choose projects that don't involve needles, cutters, glue guns and other items which can be dangerous to kids. Those tools can easily poke the eyes, cut, and burn. Have your students use children's scissors instead, as they are more blunt. Also, it's good to have projects that utilize materials such as punchers, non-toxic glue, tape, and small staples as these don't pose much risk.

- Difficulty level - Ideal Halloween crafts for preschoolers are those that are colorful, catch children's attention, and most especially easy to do for them. A project can be too tiring or difficult for preschoolers to do. Instructions should be kept short and simple.

- Interest - Although Halloween projects are generally interesting, teachers would know better and always add a bit more twist, fun and color to ordinary projects especially since these projects are designed for kids to do. Kids get bored easily so try to make projects more out-of-the-ordinary.

Mask

Masks are great for preschool Halloween crafts project. They are pretty versatile, too. You can make hero masks, animal masks, and monster masks. All you need are paper plates, crayons, punchers/staples, and garters.

For the materials, all you will need are some paper plates and crayons which you would want to distribute. Then, instruct your preschoolers to draw two big eyes in the middle of their paper plate. Then instruct them to draw anything they like around those eyes. Show them examples of simple animal faces like bunnies and cats using coloring books and other kids' books, so they have an idea of what to draw. Your students can draw a witch face, bat outline, or practically anything.

Then, give them time to color their drawings. You may also suggest stripes, spots, hearts, stars, and designs that are easy for the kids to draw. For more interest, you can use glue sticks or Elmer's glue to stick glitter and sequins on their masks. The kids will absolutely love this idea. You can also purchase colorful feathers so your students can stick them to their masks. Remember to keep your projects interesting!

Wings

Another interesting Halloween crafts for preschoolers are Halloween wings. You can create bat wings, angel wings, or butterfly wings out of cardboard. You may pre-cut the shapes to make the project easier for the kids. Just punch two holes on each wing so you can attach a string where the arm can go through and stay secured to the wing.

Once the cut out wings are distributed, you can suggest easy designs for your pupils to follow. Give them time to draw, color, and explore their imagination. Also have them glue sequins, glitter, and feathers to add interest.

Planning Halloween crafts for preschool kids is easy when you have these three secrets to keep in mind: simplicity, safety, and of course, fun.

There are, however, some religious people who do not mind participating in Halloween, and for such people, there are a number of different religious crafts that they can try their hand in during Halloween. These crafts will spread God’s word as well as be enjoyable to make. A number of religious crafts will allow you to celebrate Halloween as well as remain within the limits of your beliefs and convictions.

Doling candy sticks is one great religious crafts to make on Halloween and can be used for trick or treat activities. You need to buy card stock paper from your department store and cut out shapes of candy corn. Colour the tips white, the middle yellow and the bottoms orange. Use markers or crayons according to your preference.

At the bottom most part of the corn, you can write these phrases: “You picked a treat from the bowl, here’s a treat for the soul.” At the back of the candy, write down different verses from the bible. Punch a hole on top of the corn and use a string to tie it to the different treats. These kinds of Halloween crafts can involve the entire family and spending time making these are great ways of starting the holiday.

Another cute religious craft that is also easy to create involve kids. First, you need to take a round lollipop like Tootsie Pop. For each lollipop, take a 4” square of burlap, 2” round green felt, a rubber band, black and orange yarn and glue. Wrap the lollopop with the burlap and secure at the bottom using the rubber band. This forms the ‘neck.’ Make the hat by gluing the green felt at the top. Draw a smiling mouth, the nose and the eyes and your very own scarecrow is ready.

After this, take strips of paper with bible verses written on them such as the Psalm 118:6 – I will not be afraid; The Lord is beside me or Psalm 32:7 – You protect me from trouble; You are my hiding place. Attach these papers to the scarecrow by punching a hole through them and pulling yarn.

The best thing about religious Halloween crafts is that these are great ways of having some fun as well as spreading God’s word. You can always rely on your imagination to come up with your own crafts. There are a number of ways of participating in Halloween without offending your religious sentiments.

Different kinds of paper are probably some of the best materials to use for crafts because of their wide variety of uses and the ease with which they can be handled. Easy paper Halloween crafts might be a good idea for a craft project this October. Here are some of them.

Trick or Treat Bags

One great project for easy paper Halloween crafts are bags that you can give away during trick or treat. The simplest trick or treat bag design would be pasting pumpkin cut outs made from pieces of orange, black and green construction paper. If you want to be more creative with these easy paper Halloween crafts, you can cut out different facial features from construction paper to paste on the bag. You can add special scary features like fangs and horns. Fill the bag with goodies and fold and close the top with some tape. Cut some yarn and glue on the fold for hair.

Witch Masks

Paper plates are one of the most versatile easy paper Halloween crafts. Any Halloween decoration with a circular shape like a wreath or a pumpkin could be made out of paper plates. Aside from decorations, a variety of homemade masks can be made out of them like a witch mask.

In making witches from paper plates, simply paint the back part of your paper plate with light, lime or mint green. Let it dry and carefully cut out eye slots. You can trace the outline of the slots with black ink for effect. For the nose, cut a triangle from a piece of green construction paper and fold the triangle in half. Put some glue on the two long edges of the triangle and attach to the center of the plate just below the eyes. Cut a squiggly mouth from black construction paper and paste below the nose. Cut circles from brown construction paper for moles and warts.

Cut a triangle with curved edges from black construction paper and glue to the top of the plate to make a witch's hat. Cut a long thin strip of construction paper and paste just below the triangular hat to serve as the hat's base. Cut holes and insert rubber bands on the opposite sides of the mask. There are no other easy paper Halloween crafts than this.

Ghost Streamer

These easy paper Halloween crafts use additional materials other than paper. Get a circular object such as an old ping pong ball. Cut white crepe paper into long strips with widths that are slightly wider than the circumference of the ball. Stick the ball onto the center of one crepe strip. Put adhesive on the back of the crepe and ball and lay it horizontally on a vertically positioned strip. You should now have a cross of two strips with the ball at the center.

Stick a third strip of crepe to the back of the ball again. Do the same with the other two strips but this time, the crepe should be placed diagonally. Stick a fourth strip going in the opposite direction. Gather the remaining strips and continue sticking horizontally, vertically and diagonally.

Insert your hand under so that you are holding the very base of the pieces of glued crepe. Invert the strips such that the ball becomes completely covered. Gather the strips together and tie at the bottom of the ball. Draw ghostly features on the ball with a marker. Thread a piece of double white yarn on a small square of white cartolina and knot at the bottom. Stick the piece of cartolina on the head of your ghost.

Bats are the most popular symbols of Halloween and if you are planning on creating your own Halloween decorations, Halloween bat crafts are the easiest options. Like all other craft projects, Halloween bat crafts are as easy as you want them to be. Here are some ideas to get you started.

Using a egg carton is the easiest way of making a Halloween bat craft. First, cut out three adjacent egg cups together from the carton. Then, to make wings, cut the front portion of the outside egg cups. On the egg cup in the center, draw a face. Then, punch a hole at the top and pull a string or thread through it in order to hang it from the wall or anywhere you please. You can make it even more fancy by spray painting the bat black and pasting googly eyes on it for more effect.

Another suggestion for Halloween bat crafts would be to make a huge bat and hang it on your trees outside. First, take a huge black plastic garbage bag and a 2 litre empty soda bottle. Wrap the black bag around the soda bottle using black electric tape for making the bat's body. In order to make the bat's ears, punch two plastic bunches near the cap of the bottle and tie a rubber band around it.

Next, cut out fangs from the white plastic lid and tape it in place while affixing the eyes using red dot stickers. Take another trash bag, cut it open, and lay it flat. Cut bat wings out of this. Then, lay the wings flat and place a stick like a kabab stick right above the wing. Use electric tape to attach the stick to the three projecting points of the wings. Repeat the same procedure for the second wing and then careful stick both the wings to the body of the bat.

Just place the sticks across the tree branches in order to hang the bat. You secure the bat in place by using electric tape too in case you feel it is too windy or that the bat might fly away. You yard will be the scariest yard in the neighborhood if you hang these huge bats outside your house.

For other Halloween bat crafts you should search online. All you need to do is search for Halloween bat crafts on google and you will be met with a range of crafts that you can easily make for this occasion. So why wait? Collect your craft items and make your yard the most popular yard in your neighborhood for Halloween.

If you teach students, like me, then you will forever be on the look out for easy classroom crafts that your students can make when Halloween nears. The best way to keep children occupied is by involving them in an activity in which they get to make something on their own and the most opportune season would be Halloween. This is a great time to get your class to make decorations that can make the classroom look festive and vibrant. There are innumerable classroom crafts that you could try. Here are some crafts that your your students can make and which I have personally found to be a hit with the children.

One great classroom craft that you can make is the fun ghost. All you need to use is white construction paper and the feet of your students. Make the students remove their shoes and stand on the white construction paper. Trace the outside of each foot but leave out the toes. If possible, get the kids to work together at tracing each other’s foot. Then make the cut the footprints out. The ghost’s head will be the foot heel. They can use black construction paper or permanent marker to draw the ghost face. The remaining bits of white construction paper left from the foot tracing can be used as the arms. The students can glue the arms of the ghost. Punch a hole on top of the ghost’s head and pull a string through it so that the ghost can be hung from the ceiling, doors and other surfaces to make the room spooky.

In addition to ghosts, you can even have some bats flying around your room. This is another Halloween craft that has worked well with the students. First, take an egg carton. Ask the kids to cut out three successive cups from the carton using scissors. Make sure that the three cups remain attached. Cut out the back and front of the outer two cups to form the wings. Then paint the bat black using black paint. Once the paint has dried, the children can either draw the eyes using white paint or paste googly eyes for the bats. Then pull a string through a hole punched at the top of the central cup and tie it. Make sure the string does not pull at the hole. Hang the bats along with the ghosts and your classroom will be full of great Halloween crafts.

These are just a few of the various classroom crafts that you can try out. There are many other crafts that will thrill your students and drive them to accomplish more. A lot of students have told that even their parents were thrilled when they took their creations home. You will, of course, have to ask the students to bring their own supplies, as this is to be expected while planning a classroom craft project. Let your kids exercise their imagination and express their creativity any way they want.

One of the activities that preschoolers love engaging in is crafting, so when Halloween season nears, there is no better idea then to get these little kids involved in Halloween crafts. The net is full of Halloween craft ideas that you can get for free. When it comes to preschoolers, it is important to give them projects that they can easily understand and find comfortable to work on. When you give the kids Halloween crafts to do, ensure that you let them make them as they wish and appreciate whatever product comes out. Here are some of the Halloween crafts that you can give preschoolers to do.

Once the pumpkin has been carved, the seeds are left. You can either fry these seeds with sea salt, or if you're not into that, here is an idea. Save the seeds, clean them and let them dry. then from a piece of cardboard or construction paper, cut a circle and glue the seeds on the outside of the circle with their points facing out. Then glue another row inside the initial row and sprinkle some glitter in the middle. You can even paint the seeds and attach a stem if you wish but it would be better if you punch a hole at the top and hang it on the wall of your room.

Edible Halloween crafts are the post popular crafts among preschoolers as these kids get a real thrill about making crafts that they can eat. Dirt and worms is a really enjoyable craft. First, take a clean plastic cup. Take a little bit of chocolate ice cream in the cup. Then give the child some chocolate cookies packed in a plastic bag preferable zip lock. Then make them smash the packed cookies into small bits. Take these smashed bits along with some gummy worms and pour it over the ice cream and dirt and worms is ready. Now all they need is a spoon to enjoy what they have created.

Using your child's handprint to make a lovely little bat is another wonderful Halloween craft that you can use for your preschooler. Pour some washable craft black paint on a paper plate. Place the child's hand in the plate to ensure the whole hand is covered with paint. Then press the child's hand with fingers spread on one side of another paper plate or a construction paper. Then, matching the heels of the hand, flip the paper around and press the hand again after recoating it with paint. Then put some googly eyes or use white paint for eyes, punch a hole at the top and pull a string through it. You can hang this anywhere you want.

It is really easy to find Halloween crafts suitable for preschoolers online. Just ensure that they aren't too difficult for your child and you can have a great time with your little preschooler.

If you wish to find some Halloween crafts for your kids, there are a number of places that you can go. For starters, you can check out the internet. A number of websites today are dedicated to Halloween crafts for kids and you can get many different ideas from these sites as to how you and your children can have fun while decorating your home on Halloween. Here are few of the most favourite Halloween crafts that you can make with your kids.

Sparkling spiders are one of the most popular Halloween crafts among kids. You scatter these easy to make spiders around your house or hang them from the ceiling to decorate your table. First take a Styrofoam ball of about 4”. Use craft sponge to paint the ball dark purple. While the paint is still wet, sparingly sprinkle some white glitter. Stick googly eyes to it and use black pipe cleaners to make the legs on the sides. Bend the pipes so that it looks like the spider is standing on its own. This makes your very own sparkly spider.

You can use a simple cardboard egg carton for this next Halloween craft for kids. Take three successive egg cups attached to each other and cut them from the rest of the carton. Cut out the fronts of the two outside cups to simulate wings. If possible, paint the entire carton black and attach googly eyes with some white glue or draw a bat face. On top of the middle cup, punch a hole and tie a string around it with a knot at one end. You can hang this bat wherever you wish.

Making Halloween crafts for kids is not a difficult task at all although there are a few crafts that require an adult to supervise. If you have bushes around your house, this Halloween craft will ensure that all your neighbours will talk about your Halloween decorations. First, fold a plain white sheet into half. Stuff a few newspapers between the folds. Then, use black craft paint or a permanent marker to draw a funny or scary ghost face on top of the sheet. After it dries, cover the bush with it, pull it tightly from the back and attach with some clothespin to make your own garden ghost.

If you apply your imagination and creativity there is no end to the number of crafts you can make with your kids on Halloween. Ask your children to come up with their own crafts. Use candy corn to decorate a candle or tape pumpkin faces made from construction paper on your windows. There are endless possibilities. Even adults can have fun making kids Halloween crafts.
