How many A4 pages (just letters) can Epson Stylus Photo 830U print?
Heyzz!! I was wondering whether it's better (financially speaking..) to print books that I download from the Internet rather than buying them..
So, I have Epson Stylus Photo 830U.. With one (1) cartridge of black ink, how many A4 pages can I print (let's say with Times New Roman #11)??
Tnx!! ![]()
Tnx!! But how do I choose it to print 2 pages back and forth like a book??
heh:)
If you print just at normal mode, you can print approx 300 to 500 full page at the least. So if you are printing a book, and the A4 is folder to make 2 pages, that means 1200 pages at the very least.

Choose the right toner cartridge for your laser printer
The right toner cartridges plus the correct printer supplies serve to increase the life of the printer and its reliability. When ordering a new cartridge, it is always best to specify the printer model, the cartridge part number and the page yield. Here is some toner cartridge selection tips to help you buy the right cartridge for your printer.
Why buy a premium toner cartridge from us?
- Complete range of toner cartridges for your printer. We provide OEM / genuine, compatible, remanufactured toner cartridge to serve your different printing capacity.
- Best quality with reasonable price. Poorly made cartridges can result in poor quality prints and can even damage your printers, and this even costs you more. Buy your toner cartridges from reputable and reliable companies, like LaptopTraveller.com, would be your best choice.
Should I buy a genuine / OEM or a compatible toner cartridge?
The answer to this question depends on what type of printing you wish to do and your budget. The main advantage of buying non compatible / remanufactured cartridges is that you can save up to 30-70 % in reduced cost compared to buying OEM / Genuine cartridges. These cartridges are designed to meet or in best case even exceed the standards set by the OEM in terms of performance, print quality and page yield. The compatible toner LaptopTraveller.com offers are 100% made by respected manufacturers with high quality standards (ISO 9001 certified). They are designed to perform or exceed OEM toner cartridges, offering same or higher page yield yet at average of 40% to 80% saving from OEM cartridges.
We would recommend you to go with compatible cartridges if:
- low toner cartridge price is of importance to you
- you mainly print text and graphics in black
- you print in full color and does not strive for a 100% perfect print quality
On the other hand, we recommend you to select OEM cartridges if you have high expectations on the printing results and primarily print in full color. For example, if you are a graphics designer producing samples of your work to show clients, you should probably buy a genuine cartridge. This will give you the best chance of producing high quality graphics prints. Besides, you are not price sensitive. Please also remember that the quality of the compatible ink or toner please remember that it is not the only factor affecting the print quality. The capabilities of the printer and the quality of the printing paper also have significant impact on the end printing results.
What about remanufactured toner cartridge?
Huge savings can also be done on printer cartridge costs by buying remanufactured cartridges instead of OEM cartridges. Remanufactured cartridges are together with compatible cartridges the cheapest alternative to go with. Besides, when buying remanufactured cartridges you support the reuse of cartridge parts for environmental sustainability. If you are interested in reading more about the environmental benefits of using recycled printer cartridges, read our Toner Cartridge Recycling Guide!
Some printer manufacturers, like Lexmark, even have a prebate recycling program for used-up printer cartridges. Read our Return Program Toner Cartridges to learn more about having a significant discount of toner cartridges.
Should I buy a low yield or a high yield toner cartridge?
The high yield cartridges are obviously more expensive but are cheaper on a page yield basis. Your choice will depend on the number of pages you expect to print per year and the expected coverage of toner per page. The rated capacity of a toner cartridge is based on 5% coverage of toner on a Letter or A4 page. If your coverage is 10%, you will use twice as much toner and get half as many printed pages. Cartridges do deteriorate over time, usually of 2-year shelf life. You should choose a cartridge that will last you two years or less; if you do not do much printing, buy a low yield cartridge.
