What can I do to help my face paint last all night for Halloween?
My Halloween costume requires a full face paint. I want it to last most of the night without melting off. Anyone have any tips?
you should buy professional clown paint, not the cheap halloween stuff last year i got real clown makeup and it stayed on for about 7 hours which is more than i would have gotten out of the cheap stuff.
finish it with powder to set it.

Enhance your Face Painting Idea
If you have been face painting for quite some time now, are you running out of ideas? Or, if you are new to face painting, what are interesting and new ideas you can take to build on your new hobby or sideline work? This article is good for those who want a fresh face painting idea to boost their artistic reputation or those who are new to face painting.
Begin brainstorming for themes. Are there any holidays or special occasions coming up? Think of Halloween, Thanksgiving Day, spring break, or birthdays. Below is a list of themes you might want to use as a face painting idea:
- Fairytale - young children will find fantastical and fairytale themes fun to do. There are many ways to incorporate the fairytale theme into your face painting idea. Think of fairies, princesses, dwarves, unicorns, dragons, ogres, etc.

- Nature - the natural environment can be a very good source of inspiration. Paint on flowers, butterflies, the sun, stars, clouds, etc. With face painting, you can actually create almost anything with just a brush and some paint.

These fun accessories can be easily purchased at costume or toy shops.
